The business was headquartered in Plano, TX and specialized in meeting client requirements for installation in high-tech facilities. Specifically the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, semiconductor and other commercial industries. TFS gained a strong reputation for safety, project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Exential was created as a legal entity name required for business structure compliance within certain jurisdictions. Effective January 1st, 2026, Total Facility Solutions' (TFS) name will change to Exential, but will operate under the Exentec brand, ensuring a unified presence.
