Project overview
The NSI1054 represents a significant advancement in semiconductor liquid level monitoring, combining sensing and controller functions into a single compact device. Designed for compatibility with existing canister platforms, the solution improves installation efficiency while supporting enhanced temperature capability, customizable firmware and greater application flexibility. The project also established a new Exentec product family and expanded the company's Media Supply technology portfolio.
The challenge
A leading semiconductor manufacturer required a more reliable liquid level sensing solution to support chemical delivery systems. Existing solutions suffered from extended lead times, delivery delays and limited supplier responsiveness, creating supply chain challenges and reducing flexibility for future growth. The customer also needed a simpler and more integrated technology solution that reduced installation complexity while supporting demanding semiconductor operating environments.
Exentec's solution
Exentec developed the NSI1054 Integrated Liquid Level Sensor, combining sensor and controller functionality into a single integrated platform. The solution was designed as a drop-in replacement for existing installations, simplifying deployment while reducing wiring requirements and integration effort. The development process incorporated direct customer feedback, real-world testing and application-specific engineering requirements to create a more flexible and scalable product platform.
